Workforce Development at BMCC
Mentorship Program with Employment Opportunities
The BMCC Cybersecurity WhiteHat Program, in partnership with Terranova Defense Solutions Incorporated and the Cyber Security Global Alliance, offers a unique pathway for aspiring cybersecurity professionals to become certified mentors and gain meaningful employment in the global cyber defense sector.
Program Overview
Mentors are selected through a rigorous process involving interviews, language proficiency, and completion of the 43-week Cybersecurity WhiteHat Program. Upon successful graduation with a minimum 80% average, mentors are employed through Terranova Defense Solutions or BMCC’s Center for Continuing Education and Workforce Development.
Mentor Responsibilities
Lead regional cohorts of cybersecurity students.
Recruit students within their designated region (state/province/country).
Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical support throughout the program.
Report directly to the Lead Mentor as listed on your contractual agreement.
Mentor Benefits
For all pre-approved potential Regional Mentorship inductees, the Cybersecurity WhiteHat Program cost will be removed. The only costs that the mentor inductee will incur are the book and CompTIA Security+ certification and test costs, which are required for passing the program.
Base Salary + Commission: Mentors can earn upwards of $100,000 USD annually, depending on their work as a Regional Mentor, including student recruitment and program engagement.
5-Year Employment Agreement: Mentor graduates who successfully complete all levels of their commitment to BMCC-CSGA-TERRANNOVA will be offered a 5-year employment contract to work as a Regional Mentor for future Cybersecurity WhiteHat Programs in the country/state/province/territory of your recruitment.
If you take the Cybersecurity WhiteHat Program and FAIL the program, you will be able to REDO the segment you failed only once. If you FAIL a second time, your application to work as a mentor will be revoked. Additionally, as a student, if you fail any part of the program, you will be able to redo the segment you failed from the beginning. A second failure will revoke your job placement status, as our employers who will recruit you will meet with you, and it is our mutual agreement that you MUST pass all parts of the program as a condition of your enrollment in our program.
Global Recognition: Mentors are part of a certified international network endorsed by the U.S. Department of Commerce and supported by leading organizations in AI, cybersecurity, and education.
Language Requirement: Mentors must be bilingual—English plus the local language of their region (unless operating in an English-only country).
